I purchased this device on 11/2/2020 and it’s still working like new. I use it for a ROG gaming laptop and only really when I game and it overheats so I’d say I use it once a week. All three fans still work and the lights still work. It’s so thin it can fit in my laptop bag, the feet collapse to make it sleek, it’s lightweight and the fact that it plugs into my laptop for power makes it really convenient. My laptop, a ROG, used to overheat to the point that my games would crash. Ever since I got the fan, my computer has been fine and as long as my house isn’t extremely hot, the fans are able to keep the laptop cool enough to still run the games. I did tons of research before getting this product and it paid off. I would buy it again 100%. The reviews were confusing to me because some people complained that the smell of the product was strong and unbearable. It really isn’t bad. Just like any new device, it has that new plastic smell and it goes away, at least for the one I have. I barely smell the new smell and to be honest, I actually like that new smell. Other people complained that the product doesn’t cool the laptop enough. I’ve also been told by people that cooling computers is challenging because you have to avoid creating condensation which can harm the computer. I was using an ice pack before I got this product and my computer savvy friends definitely warned against that. To be honest, for the price that I bought it, $32.99 it does the job and I wasn’t able to find anything else on Amazon that had good ratings and a price that was reasonable for an average gamer (I play overwatch).

I recently bought a HP 15.6 inch Envy gaming laptop with an i7 for a good price, but had read mixed reviews about the HP envy series overheating. So I wanted to get a really good laptop cooling pad to extend my laptop’s life (I have a Cooler Master Notepal LapAir, but that’s more designed for regular laptops).

When I use my laptop while running a high-end game, my laptop’s internal fan will start churning like crazy (that’s how you know the processor’s working hard and putting out serious heat). If I run a high-end game with this cooling pad, the bottom as a whole will feel a lot cooler. Granted, it still feels slightly warm at a small portion of the top-left edge of my laptop (that’s where the processor’s probably located), and the side vents on the top-left will still feel quite warm/hot while gaming, but that’s kind of understandable, and not the fault of the cooling pad itself. So overall, while I might also need to buy one of those side extracting air coolers on Amazon to help cool my laptop down further, it’s a great cooling pad and I’m satisfied with my purchase, 4.5/5.

Here are the reasons I like this cooling pad:
+5/5 overall user rating with over 100 reviews/ratings (at the time I bought it); seems a lot of people are satisfied with this product
+VERY quiet; you can barely hear the fans at all; definitely more quiet than the cooling pad I used to own
+3 fans, which each put out a good amount of air
+very portable, small and lightweight if you want to take your laptop and cooling pad around with you; I was initially concerned because the pad was advertised for 17 inch laptops and that it would be a humongous overkill for my 15.6 laptop, taking up a lot of space on my small desk; it’s not; horizontally, it’s about the same length as my laptop; fits perfectly, and yet doesn’t take up too much space when traveling around
+the mesh which covers the entire top of the cooling pad is made of metal. More of the pad being made of metal = longer lasting than plastic (I think?), and better heat dissipation
+2 adjustable legs on the front for those who like to prop up their laptops a bit rather than lay it completely flat
+comes with 2 usb ports on the cooling pad and a usb extension cord, so even though you’ll have to use one of your usb ports on your laptop to plug into the cooling pad, they give you another one to plug your usb stuff into
+1 year warranty
+HAVIT claims to be one of the top 3 amazon.com sellers in laptop coolers; if this is true, they know what they’re doing

Some things that I think would’ve been nice:
-movable fans; the vents on my laptop are closer to the bottom, but my laptop processor seems closer located to the top-left area of my laptop (top-right if you are looking directly at the bottom of the laptop); giving the 3 fans the ability to adjust with how high up and down you want them to be would be nice; it’s not a major turn-off; you can always flip the cooler around 180 degrees, or move the laptop a bit around so the fans cover the desired area, but it would be a definite plus
-ability to turn leds on and off; the light itself isn’t unpleasant on the eyes; it’s a cool blue color, but it definitely would be more useful, especially if you’re using your laptop in a public place and don’t want to distract others with a light show
-more usb ports couldn’t hurt; maybe 2 more, with both in front, not just for the additional usb ports, but so that if people wanted to, they could flip the cooling pad around

An Apple MacBook Pro gets hot quickly if it is dealing with moving images. This does not fit that model well ( it is a bigger area than that model ) but it does a great job of cooling the same . A surface that is hot to the touch becomes a surface of a shut down computer to touch when rested on this unit during use. If I were to design this, I would have the on/off switch at the front and a USB-c power-in on the left and right sides instead of the rear where both currently are. Otherwise it is a very quiet and effective device. You might need an adapter if your computer is modern and with USB-C ( the smaller ones ) sockets as it comes with the bigger USB 2.0 built-in and a matching short cord

I would find myself buying this again, It’s impressively silent and preforms quite well, I could see this product lasting and being used very long time, though It does lack the option to turn the lights off while it’s on, The laptop comes with a usb-A cable, though it is very short it would be completely fine to plug into a powered desk with the short cord. It’s very comfortable to use since it keeps your hands and laptop cool while using, I find it very useful especially since you can adjust the height and essentially the angle at which the platform sits for your laptop.

Overall: I would buy this item again as I find it to add aesthetic to my room and it does everything as advertised, it will keep your laptop cool and the fans are extremely silent, don’t expect your laptop to be completely immune to heating up if you’re getting this, it will keep your laptop around the temperatures of freezing to slightly warm rather than without it where you’d have a searing temperature under your laptop, very well worth the money.

I bought two laptop coolers, and this was the first one I bought.

This keeps my laptop cool, and the noise level is very low. My laptop still kicks out a lot of hot air, but the bottom of my laptop stays cool, so I’m convinced it’s helping. I’m very happy with it.

The noise level is virtually non-existant. Frankly, my laptop’s internal fans make more noise than this does.

The only reason I went with another brand for my second purchase is because it had a couple more fans, and was on sale for a few dollars less. I realized I needed another one to keep my battery cool as well.

Nice design and weight, very portable, nice bigger fans but you need to match the location of the fans with the areas that get heated on your laptop. No controls to change power level of fans but due to large fans, effectively cools over long periods of time. Nice quiet fans.
